A Grand Town Hall meeting

The paradigm shift in the Missions administration geared towards a positively refined public relation has yielded a strong bond between the Permanent Mission of Uganda to the United Nations and the Ugandan Community in the Diaspora. H.E Ambassador Adonia Ayebare (Dr.) is expected to be the Special guest Speaker.

This Saturday October 28, 2017, a very dynamic group of Young Professionals "Breaking Barriers" is convening a forum under the auspices of the Permanent Mission.

"Breaking Barriers" is a philanthropic organization geared towards the unification, professional development, cultural identification and education of individuals living in the African Diaspora. The organization serves as a change agent in the African Diaspora with efforts to connect cultures. Their emphasis is on Ugandan communities but their activities interact and impact all African communities.

The greater Vision is to create a sustainable African network that uplifts African Diaspora communities through encouraging individuals to take leading roles towards the development of their people in order to experience positive change educationally, professionally and financially.

The theme of this weekend's forum shall be "Moving Back to Africa: Why or Why Not?"  The forum is expected to be the first one of its kind because of the expected attendance from different states in North America.
