SIGNING OF UN -UGANDA TECHNICAL AGREEMENT AND U--FRANCE TECHNICAL AGREEMENT

The above named agreement was signed , the Under-Secretary General, Department of Operational Support H.E Atul Khare who represented the United Nations. 
 
The Government of France was represented by H.E Nicolas de Riviere , Ambassador and Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations and Uganda by H.E Ambassador Adonia Ayebare
The significance of this is agreement is improvement of  Information and Communication Technology in peace keeping operations.

Under this agreement Government of Uganda shall provide the training and facilitation at the Regional Services Center at Entebbe, the Government of  France shall provide capacity and training Aides (Unmanned Aerial vehicles); Uganda shall provide  the training base and local support; Member states will provide the trainees. 

The trio ( UN- Uganda- France ) are expected to consolidate this partnership further during the 2021 Peace Keeping Ministerial meeting in South Korea in December.
